After the traditional service at the Oakford War Memorial a lunch was served at Oakford Village Hall, followed by a screening of "The Great Escaper" starring Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson. And I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house by the end!
Thanks to all involved to make such an enjoyable occasion. Including Dawn, Lou, Julia, and Debs in the kitchen, and Jennie in the bar.
All monies raised will be donated to the Royal British Legion.
Thanks to everyone who attended and supported this event.
Patrick, Nadia, and Sam hosted a fabulous afternoon of croquet at Oakford Manor in support of the St Peter's bells restoration fund. The weather was perfect, and the competition very... competitive!
Patrick and Nadia would like to express their thanks to everyone who made the day happen and to everyone who attended:
"Thank you so much to everyone who came along and enjoyed what was a beautiful day and a lot of fun.
And massive thanks to all who helped, we couldn’t have done it without you:
Debra Morgan, Patsy and John Phillips, Geoffrey and Dawn Williams, David Olive, Paul and Jennie Chappell, Sean Mayer, James Levick, Paul Marcus, Richard Linton, Chloe Wright and Wendy."
The beautiful historic parish of Oakford lies north of Tiverton, in Mid Devon, near to Exmoor National Park.

With numerous stunning rural walks through wooded valleys and open countryside, there is no shortage of interest for the keen or casual walker.
